.....
Lindsey O!!! Wow, congrats! You have a TON of free flights at your disposal. That's enough miles to book yourself a one-way ticket to Mars. Well, we're still waiting on Elon to sort out those details... 😅 but the miles could still get you quite far here on Earth.
If you want some ideas for specific routes you could book with these points or if the rest of you want to know how you could EASILY rack up this many miles without winning a giveaway, check out our dedicated post below 👇

Last week I told you about how hotels are offering tons of great promos to "one-up" each other and win customers' loyalty. Well, Hilton is trying to "one-up" itself apparently, because they launched a new promo that began the exact day that their last promo ended.
Until December 31st, you can earn double points on all Hilton stays, plus an additional 2,000 bonus points for stays where you check out between Monday and Friday. All you need to do is register for the offer with your Hilton Honors number.

This is a great way to rack up tons of Hilton points without trying very hard, especially if you combine this promo with other points multipliers.
For example, I'm a Hilton diamond member, meaning I already earn 100% extra bonus points. I also own a credit card that earns 12 points per dollar at Hilton properties (btw, you can check out our Top Credit Cards page if you want to do the same). That means that from this promo, I can earn the following:
- 10x points just for being a Hilton member
- Another 10x for being a diamond member
- ANOTHER 10x for the double points promo ("double" refers to the original 10x that anyone can earn)
- 12x from using a Hilton credit card
This means that I earn 42x points on all Hilton stays plus another 2,000 points if I check out on a weekday.
Here is a screenshot of a Hilton stay I completed just a few days ago showing the points earned (obviously not including the credit card points which are issued by the bank).

Because I checked out on a Monday, I even earned the additional 2,000 bonus points. The 8,400 points earned on this cheap 2-night stay is almost enough to book another 2 nights at another cheap property somewhere else.
As you can see, this is definitely a promo worth paying attention to, especially if you missed out on the last promo that Hilton ran.

🚊 Germany introduces hydrogen-powered train
If you're like me, then you sometimes hate yourself for the large carbon footprint you leave from traveling so much. Even with carbon offset programs, it can be hard to reconcile the effect of air travel on the environment.
Well to alleviate this widespread self-loathing (and, you know, save the planet), Germany has officially begun services on its first ever hydrogen-powered train.
So far, the trains are only running on small regional routes in Bremervörde, but are planned to replace many train fleets in the coming years. The trains are completely emission-free and only emit steam and condensed water.
As someone who is interested in sustainable travel, I find this really fascinating and interesting. Europe has been making moves in recent years to encourage travelers to use trains over airlines when traveling shorter distances.
Given the high prices of airfare, overcrowded airports, canceled flights, etc. I think this development makes train travel in Europe even MORE appealing than it already was. If this test run is successful, I think it can only be a good thing to roll these trains out to a wider market.

There is no better feeling in the world, am I right?
Well, that's going to do it for today! Make sure you stick around for the rest of the week, we still have a TON of points and miles left to give.
What are your thoughts on sustainable travel? Have you ever had a whole row to yourself on a flight? Let me know by responding to this email or reaching out on social media.
Cheers,
