🏨 Earn 5,000 Best Western points (multiple times)
Best Western has been pretty on-point lately. You might remember the "buy two, get one free" deal they had a couple of weeks ago.
Well, there is yet another enticing offer from Best Western that ends this weekend. Basically, you will earn 5,000 bonus points for every stay you complete before November 21, 2022.
The catch? There are a few...
- Your stay(s) must be booked by this Saturday, September 3rd
- You can only earn bonus points for stays in North America and the Caribbean (though you can redeem points anywhere)
- You cannot have a stay that begins on the same day that another stay ends
Is this offer worth paying attention to?
Absolutely! There are rooms out there that you can book with 5,000 Best Western points, so if you play this right you could finagle a "buy one, get one" deal here.
If you have hotel stays booked with Best Western, I would try to break them up into as many one-night stays as possible to rack up the points... as long as you have 24 hours between check-ins and check-outs.
Personally, I don't mind jumping between hotels if it means getting more free hotel nights to enjoy later. Given the ridiculous number of hotel stays I have coming up, I'll definitely be shuffling around some of my paid bookings to take advantage of this.

Want to know a secret?
Okay, I'll tell you. But you have to PROMISE not to tell anyone else... I want to keep this between me and the 181,746 of you receiving this email. Deal?
Tomorrow we are giving away 75,000 United Airlines miles.
Some people have no clue how valuable that many miles are. Luckily, you're a Daily Drop reader, so you're a travel hacking genius. Or at least you will be one day 😉
Over the last few days, there have been some really great flight deals popping up for as little as 5,500 United miles!
Here are a few examples:
If you were to book these flights round trip, they'd cost you at least $1,500. Alternatively, you could get the same two trips for 65,600 miles and bout $20 in taxes.
So, if you're lucky enough to win our giveaway tomorrow, now you have some ideas for putting these points to use. If you want even more examples of cheap deals, check out United's deal page.
If you aren't the lucky winner tomorrow, don't worry - I'll be sharing a few other ways you can get United Miles to take advantage of these cheap deals.

🇯🇵 Wooh! Japan removes (some) travel restrictions
Last week, I wrote about some rumors that Japan would be easing certain travel restrictions in the near future...
Thankfully, those rumors were true (yay) 😅.
As of September 7th, Japan will be increasing the daily traveler cap from 20,000 to 50,000 and allowing people to enter without guided tours.
This is still quite far behind where most countries are in terms of unrestricted travel, but it is a HUGE step for Japan, which has largely remained closed off for the last 2.5 years.
Now that they've made it official, I would hurry up and book those tickets before they change their minds.

That's all for today. I'm very excited for tomorrow's giveaway of 75,000 United miles, so keep your fingers crossed and make sure to read the Daily Drop tomorrow to see if you're the chosen one.
Which part of the giveaway are you most excited for? Have you ever been to Japan? Let me know by replying to this email or reaching out on social media.
Ciao,
