💳 LAST CALL for amazing offers on Chase Southwest credit cards
Oh, hey there. Thanks for joining us on the website. If you’ve made it to this section of content, you’re a true Daily Drop fan.
And it’s your lucky day, because you are not going to want to miss this…
The Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards® credit cards currently have some incredible welcome offers that are only available until the end of the day this Sunday, July 9th (wow, that feels good to say).
Each of these cards currently has the same welcome offer: Earn 60,000 bonus points plus a 30% off promo code after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
I know many of you may be thinking, “But Mike - didn’t these cards just have an amazing offer to earn a Southwest Companion Pass earlier this year? Shouldn’t I just wait for that offer again?”
And my answer would be:
-
We don’t know for sure that an offer like that will ever come back.
-
I think this offer is actually… dare I say… even better… 😮
Here’s why:
I travel alone most of the time. The reason I didn’t sign up for a Southwest card during the Companion Pass offer is that I’d much prefer having a larger stack of points than a Companion Pass that I might only use once per year… if that.
60,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points is no laughing matter. It’s a LOT of points…
That means that after meeting the minimum spending requirements for one of these cards, you’d have enough points to book this flight more than 10 times…
But these offers offer something even more unique; a 30% promo code to use on a Southwest flight.
To make this even sweeter, you can use this promo code on cash OR points bookings, which is very generous and flexible.
With your 30% promo code, you could book this round trip for just 24,000 points, which is a STEAL.
It also means you’ll still have 36,000 points left over to book even more flights.
Okay. So we’ve established that these offers are DOPESAUCE.
But which card is the best?
In my opinion, that’s easy… It’s the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card, which is the most premium card of the bunch with a modest $149 annual fee.
The reason I love this card so much is the extra perks that it offers over the other cards make the slightly higher annual fee WELL worth it.
Here are just a few examples:
-
You’ll receive 7,500 Southwest points every year upon your cardholder anniversary (A.K.A. 12 months after opening your card and every 12 months thereafter).
-
Unlike some other cards, this one has no foreign transaction fees, making it a great card to use on the road.
-
You’ll get an annual $75 Southwest travel credit (including in your first year as a cardholder).
-
You can get reimbursed for up to four upgraded boardings per year. This means that you can pay to get an A1-A15 boarding position, and the card will reimburse you for those charges up to four times.
As long as you spend $75 per year on Southwest flights (which, if you’re getting this card, you probably do), the annual fee on this card starts to feel pretty darn reasonable, given the extra value you get every single year.
Still, if annual fees are scary to you (which is totally understandable), the other cards have the same amazing welcome offer and also come with meaningful perks.
